Gear Up for the Second Annual LA Street Food Festival

Amongst all of the trucks sporting fried foods and tacos stuffed with everything, there has been one thing missing from the food truck scene — Pierogies! This yearthe Second Annual LA Street Food Festwill be taking over the Rose Bowl and serving up everything your heart and belly desire.

Steel City Sandwich will be serving up the much-maligned but oh-so-delicious Pierogies. LA Beat favorites the Border Grill Truck, Dim Sum Truck, and Flying Pig will be serving up their specialties. Local loncheros La Estrella, Mariscos de Jalisco. Tamales Elena will be adding pineapple to their famous strawberry tamales. Besides the multitude of trucks, local restaurants and stands will represent.

The TEST KITCHEN LUXE LOUNGE will feature LA’s Top Mixologist, Julian Cox  We are especially excited to check out Chef John Sedlar’s Maize Cakes, as well as specialties from Guisados, Sedthee Thai, The Oinkster and Mo-Chica. Starry Kitchen, who blew everyone away last year will be serving up Pandan Donut Holes + Mystery BALLS. Cause they are all about the balls. Look forward to Baja Chefs offering highbrow fare including Octopus-Pork Belly Tostada + Braised Valle de Guadalupe Lamb, Potato Mousseline, White Truffle Oil, Grilled Oysters w/ Chicharron Short Rib, Serrano Chili, Ponzu Butter, and Lemongrass Foam and a Sea Urchin Tostada.

At the Ice Cream Social, CoolHaus will be on hand with their unusual ice cream flavors, including pineapple cilantro serrano chili sorbet, beer and pretzels and orange chocolate cointreau. Longboards ice cream, whose line snaked across the parking lot until they finally sold out will also be serving up frozen treats.

This year’s event will feature Singha Beer Gardens and a Tequila Tasting Tent featuring Angel Bendito Tequila Agave de Cortes Mezcal Inocente Tequila Reserva QuinteroSacacuento Ultra Premium Mezcal Tequila 55 Tequila 1519 Tequila Abondonado Tequilas Bracero Tequila Capaz Tequila Corrido and Tequila El Agave Teteo Tequila.

To keeps lines to a minimum, the event is broken up into time slots: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2 to 5 p.m., or 6 to 9 p.m. If you want to drink the night away and not worry about driving, the event has partnered with the Courtyard Marriott in Old Town Pasadena to offer rooms for just $119.

All-inclusive tickets are available online now through the LA Street Food Fest website and Eventbrite and are pre-sale only. No tickets at the door. Tickets are $60, Luxe Lounge tickets $75.
