John Waters to Receive Achievement Award at Outfest

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Outfest, and what better way to celebrate than to honor a luminary and trailblazer like John Waters? For over 40 years Waters has pushed the boundries of filmmaking and good taste.

The award will be presented during opening ceremonies, which will take place on Thursday, July 12, and “Desperate Living” will be shown on Saturday, July 21. Discount tickets available at Goldstar.

John will also by performing “This Filthy World: Gayer and Filthier” on July 11, 2012 in the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever at 7:00pm and 9:30pm. To purchase tickets, HollywoodForever.ticketfly.com.
