DVD Review: Tucker & Dale vs. Evil

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil is a hilarious spoof on the classic psycho-hillbillies-attack-campers-in-the-woods movies. The film illustrates the danger of stereotypes and well, camping paranoia.

It includes the point-of-view of the hillbillies, Tucker and Dale, who can’t help creeping out the campers while innocently trying to be friendly. They discover their cabin is full of old bones and naively surmise, “The guy who owned this cabin musta been an archee-o-logist.” Rescuing a drowning coed, they holler out, “Hey! We got yer friend!” causing the campers to run away screaming in terror.

The campers run straight down a slippery slope of panicked misadventures, while poor Tucker and Dale stumble around the growing pile of bodies. If you like your comedy gory, you should watch this movie today.
