Torrance Memorial’s Memorable Evening

Golden hour was beaming upon us as we made our way through the comfortably crowded “Evening Under the Stars” event at Honda’s campus Sunday night. Some standout dishes were the lamb chops, Fleming’s Steakhouse’s “surf n turf”, and Sushi from Sushi Boy. Basa in cream sauce from The Depot was unsurprisingly the best of the best, since it is the first place I ever had California cuisine. Cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes stayed moist, which is hard to do and the little desserts from Torrance Marriott, especially the lemon and thyme mousse were titillating. Everyone was amazed at the realistic chocolate seashells from Athena’s Confections.

Evening Under the Stars,” Gourmet Food & Wine Festival is hosted by American Honda and raises funds for nonprofit Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Funds raised from the event will benefit Torrance Memorial’s new Patient Tower and Pediatric Services.

Kenny G played and was still holding the same note as we boarded the shuttle.
