Breakfast of Champions: Antigua Bread

I usually think of Mr T’s Bowl when I am near Figueroa and Ave 57. But now I think of a delicious Cuban breakfast. Antigua Bread is a comfortable cafe with good coffee and free wifi. I could hang out here all day. Not only because they serve breakfast all day. All day long.

The “Antigua Breakfast” includes 3 eggs, flavorful black beans, plantains fritos, and salty queso fresca. Maybe it’s the Anglophile in me, but I think all breakfasts should be served with beans and the deep fried plantains are like dessert for breakfast. It feels like the kind of authentic breakfast you would get in Cuba or Florida. And yes, I ate this breakfast at 1pm.
