Best Tastes of 2012

I have been fortunate in that The Beat affords me the luxury of attending foodie events, from intimate dinners to huge festivals where I can taste a little bite from the best restaurants in the country. I also make it a habit to try new places whenever I’m dining out to look for “finds” for my readers. So how do I select the best tastes of 2012? The only real criteria is that it be memorable. When I look back at that event or meal can I still taste it? Do I remember the pleasure and surprise? So here I have for you, in no particular order, the best of 2012.
