The Taste presented by the Los Angeles Times at Paramount Studios is one of the most popular events of the year, and tickets are going fast! Weekend passes and tickets for the Jonathan Gold and Sang Yoon curated “Flavors of LA” are already sold out. Friday August 30th is “Opening Night.” Hosts from every event of the weekend will be on hand, including Russ Parsons, Jonathan Gold, Nancy Silverton and Michael Cimarusti. It is a more intimate setting, meaning there will be fewer attendees, so you won’t have to wait for anything and you can get to know your hosts and some of the finest chefs and mixologists in LA. As with all of the events, expect tastings, cocktails and wines, as well as the stylings of Beatles tribute band, Britain’s Finest. $125. 21+

Saturday, August 31st 11am-3pm Russ Parsons and Michael Cimarustiwill be hosting “Field to Fork.” As the name implies, chefs will be exploring fresh, local ingredients. Cooking demonstrations and panels will be of special interest to home cooks. For an additional $50 you can upgrade your ticket to gain access to an exclusive “Secret Cellar”of wines and small bites.

Saturday, August 31st 4pm – “Flavors of LA” SOLD OUT. SUCKAGE.

Sunday September 1st 11am-3pm “Labor Day Block Party” hosted by Noelle Carter & Nancy Silverton. This is a family event, and you are encouraged to bring the kids! Children ages 3-12 get in for only $5 each. Seriously. It is all about the barbecue, and if years past are any clue – sugar! Cooking demos by the likes of Evan Kleiman and Fred Eric.

Sunday, September 1st 7:30pm-11:30pm When the lights go down in the city, “Cocktail Confidential” starts revving up. Hosted by Jessica Gelt, Betty Hallock
& Matthew Biancaniello, this is your night to party. The mix is usually three restaurants to every cocktail purveyor, but the tables turn and you are more likely to see three cocktails to every bite. Cooking demos by such notables as Octavio Becerra, John Rivera Sedlar and Kuniko Yagi. Mixology demos by Julian Cox and Serena Herrick. Bring a designated driver or arrange a taxi, and remember, you don’t have to work in the morning!
