Opening Party Coagula Curatorial: Two Johns and a Whore

DSC06467 (Custom)

Saturday night Lisa Derrick curated “Two Johns and a Whore” at Coagula Curatorial. Not only was the gallery packed, but Chung King Road was one big shoulder-to-shoulder party. The strict rules for alcohol consumption kept the crowd from getting out of control. Really, who needs any more action than Johnny Madcap’s band and artist John Fleck’s operatic toilet paper performance piece.

The exhibit is a “direct and unapologetic exploration of art, love, sex, and commerce.” We were particularly taken with the portrait of curator Lisa Derrick by Stacey Lande, and of course the paintings by Oriana Small and Sheila Cameron, but then we are a little biased.
