Henry & Glenn Forever and Ever Tonight at La Luz

foreverGot plans for tonight? Cancel them. Tonight is La Luz de Jesus’ opening of a group exhibition and book launch for Tom Neely’s amazing graphic novel, “Henry & Glenn Forever and Ever.” The story revolves around two of the manliest men in punk rock, Henry Rollins and Glenn Danzig, and their fictitious romance in a fantastical land that curiously resembles Silverlake and its environs.

For the first time ever (and ever) the complete collection will be bound together in one book. The book launch and signing is accompanied by a group show including Neely’s pinup art and full-color covers from the original series, which was created with artist collective the Igloo Tornado. Over 50 other artists like Coop, Eric Yahnker, Gabrielle Gamboa and Ken Garduno pay tribute to this comic genius with their own comic art pages and new pieces. Be prepared for Hall & Oates sightings. The show runs at La Luz through November 2, 2014
