The Boys of Summer, the band from SoCal that is known as one of the top Eagles Tribute groups, is doing a rare Southern California performance tomorrow at the Pala Casino Spa and Resort. The Boys, hot off their latest tour, are treating SoCal fans to a free concert in the Infinity Ballroom at Pala at 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 29th. The Boys of Summer consist of James Williamson, drums-vocals; Darrel Monson, guitar/vocals; Craig T. Fall, guitar/vocals; Chris Turbis, keyboards/saxophones/acoustic guitar/vocals; Bill Winkler, bass/vocals. They’ve been steadily touring nationally with The Boys of Summer and provide a show with all the energy, emotion and great music everyone knows from the Eagles, one of the truly great bands to come out of Southern California.
The Boys of Summer grew up in the Eagles era, so the music is ingrained in them from when they themselves were just learning to play in the early days of the Eagles. Now, many years later, each of the musicians in the Boys of Summer brings all the nuances to the performances they give. From mellow songs like Take it Easy, Tequila Sunrise, Lyin’ Eyes and Peaceful Easy Feeling to rockers such as James Dean, Hotel California, Life in the Fast Lane and Already Gone, The Boys pack every performance with stunning performances of the Eagles greatest tunes.
This is a perfect way to spend part of the Thanksgiving weekend. Pala Casino is located at 11154 Highway 76 in Pala, just north of Escondido (Northern San Diego County). This makes it a great, scenic day trip down and is less than a few hours from anywhere in the LA/OC area. Great music, a casino to spend some time in, cocktails, wine and beer—-it’s a great way to spend the weekend or at least part of it. Overnight rooms and weekend packages may still be available at Pala Resort for this weekend.Since it is in the Temecula Wine Country area, there are plenty of chances to make it part of a wine-tasting weekend.
