Don’t miss this annual holiday tradition as John Waters “puts the X in Xmas.” Friday, December 5th, he will bring his hilarious one man show, “A John Waters Christmas,” to The Comedy Store in Hollywood. And if there’s one thing John Waters loves, it’s Christmas. The monologue includes “his compulsive desire to give and receive perverted gifts, a religious fanaticism for Santa Claus, and an unhealthy love of true-crime holiday horror stories.” Waters may be a great director, but he is an even better raconteur. He is charming and hilarious, and he speaks in a confidential tone that makes you feel as if you are alone with him chatting at a local bar. He makes his audience feel special with a certain intimation of “They don’t get it, but I know you get it.”
Doors open at 8pm. Make sure to buy your tickets quickly as it always sells out. Tickets are $50 for general admission, $60 with an autograph and $100 for a “Gold Circle Meet & Greet.” There is also a two drink minimum, and this show is for grown-ups only, 21 and over. Buy tickets here.
