This year Stu and the Kids will hold their annual fundraiser at Vibiana on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm. The event will be hosted by Stuart Skversky, Executive Director/Founder Stu and the Kids, Neal and Amy Fraser, Chefs/Owners of Redbird, Vibiana, BLD, Fritzi and icdc in Los Angeles along with a whole host of fantastic chefs. Delicious Thai-inspired dishes will be prepared for you by some of the best chefs in LA, including my personal favorites. Chefs include Neal Fraser, Brooke Williamson, Eric Greenspan, Akasha Richmond, Sherry Yard, and Walter Manzke. Libations will provided by Three Weavers Beer, the Bodega Wine Bar, and more.

“In 2009, Stuart Skversky, a Los Angeles rising star chef, moved to Chiang Mai to become a full time volunteer at the Wat Dan Chan (the local Buddhist temple), teaching local children…Recognizing a need to help prepare these high risk Hill Tribe kids following their graduation, he founded Stu and the Kids to better prepare them for adulthood.”

There will also be an educational presentation and silent auction which will include crafts made by The Hill People. Tickets  are only $95. Proceeds from this event go directly to the children’s education, school uniforms, supplies, housing, food and tuition for higher education. Buy your tickets now!
