Del Frisco’s Grille in Irvine Premieres Some Great New Menu Items Starting Monday

Asian Street Tacos. Photo by Ed Simon for The Los Angeles Beat.In an exclusive to The Los Angeles Beat, Del Frisco’s Grille in Irvine sampled some of the new menu items that Executive Chef Sarah Daniels has created for their new menu premiering on Monday. Appetizers, main dishes, sandwiches and more, Del Frisco’s has added several tasty items for both lunch and dinner. In addition, General Tso’s Chicken has been added as their Wednesday Dinner Daily Dish and Fish and Chips has been added as their Friday special.

Sure to become one of the most popular items on the menu, the Asian Street Tacos are part of the sharing menu. Succulent chunks of BBQ Pork in corn tortillas are topped with pickled daikon and carrot, chiles and cilantro and then served with a hoisin-based dipping sauce. Slightly spicy and very refreshing, these tacos are a must to get. Another sharable item is the Lollipop Chicken Wings, made in a way that you won’t touch the (delicious) sauce. It is a brilliant, simple concept and a great way to be able to enjoy wings without the usually sticky face and hands. Fresh Guacamole and Spicy Pork Meatball Flatbread are also new items and perfect for sharing.

New Mexico’s treat to the culinary world is the Green Chile Cheeseburger and Del Frisco’s has brought this Southwestern burger to hungry fans. Double beef patties are smothered with the chef’s ‘sloppy sauce’ and topped with jalapẽno jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion. Of course, plenty of roasted green chiles top the sandwich for that Southwestern taste. Another tasty sandwich is their new Avocado Chicken Wrap, filled with grilled chicken, smoked bacon, lettuce and a chipotle aioli. This sandwich is at once light and yet hearty as well as spicy but not too much so everyone can enjoy it. Other new sandwiches include an excellent BBQ Pork Banh Mi and a Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich.

Del Frisco’s Grille has built their reputation on the quality of their meats and the new Grilled Hanger Sliced Steak carries on that tradition proudly. Peppery and perfectly crusted on the outside and cooked to a perfect doneness inside, the steak was tender and had great flavor. It was accompanied by a house-made steak sauce and an interesting combo of sweet and russet potato fries and also some nice fresh chips. Note: the fries are great dipped in the steak sauce!

For those who prefer a salad, Del Frisco’s has a fresh Heirloom Tomato Salad with Italian Burata Cheese, micro greens, balsamic vinegar and basil oil. For those who want a hearty salad, the are also adding a Chopped Chicken and Farm Greens Salad to the menu.

The new menu rollout will be Monday, September 14 and is exclusive to the Irvine Del Frisco’s Grille. Since many of the items are great for sharing, come with a group of friends and enjoy the visit!
