Sunday, October 11th, from 12noon until 4:00pm, ‘Taste of the Pier, King Harbor & Waterfront” returns to Redondo Beach for its 6th year. The event, during which visitors embark on a self-guided walking tour, will include tastes, sips and surprises from over 50 restaurants and shops along the entire Redondo Beach waterfront. You can also expect live music and “family fun.”
Guests purchase tasting tickets at the event for $1 each and exchange them anywhere they like. It is not always a one ticket for one bite exchange, some items may require two or three tickets. I wonder if I could get a Mai Tai at Tony’s for 10 tasting tickets. “Each restaurant will feature a different menu item and non-food retailers will offer other discounts and items.” I am fairly certain some items may be made out of shells and I might expect a toe ring. Some of the participants we like are Tony’s on the Pier, R10 Social House, Kincaid’s Restaurant, King Harbor Brewing Co’s tasting room and The Slip Bar & Eatery.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Cancer Support Community.
