There is no location as beautiful as the bucolic Saddlerock Ranch, and no experience better suited to the environment than Los Angeles magazine’s “The Food Event.” Between 2pm and 5pm Sunday, October 18, you can enjoy unlimited tastings from some of LA’s best restaurants, plus pours from wineries, spirits, beer, and chef demos. It provides an opportunity to sample bites from LA’s newest restaurants and see what your old favorites are up to.

This year Neal Fraser (Redbird), Brooke Williamson (Playa Provisions), and Eric Greenspan, (Maré) will be presenting the chef’s cooking demonstrations. Some of our favorite participating restaurants include Animal, Badmaash, Birch, Cliff’s Edge, Hatchet Hall, Faith & Flower, Knuckle & Claw, Little Sister, Petty Cash, Playa Provisions, POT, Republique, Scopa/Black Market, Steak & Whiskey, Sweetfin Poke, Terrine, and Union.

Do wear flats so your heels don’t sink into the grass, and we recommend closed-toe shoes, because you may be parking in a pasture. It is a ranch. And yes, there are horses, and camels, and even zebras. Must be 21 and older. No pets allowed unless they are camels or zebras. Admission is $125 per person–admission includes all demonstrations, food, beverages, and parking fees. Purchase tickets here. There will be an after party at Calamigos Ranch for an additional $10. Proceeds benefit Kids Courage.
