This month’s LA Magazine featured an editorial by Ed Leibowitz, “Whiskey A Go Go: A 100-Proof Guide to the City’s Favorite Spirit.” Celebrate this exciting article by joining Los Angeles magazine for its first-ever Whiskey Festival on Thursday, February 18 from 7:30pm to 10:00pm at the LaBrea Tar Pits and Museum. Whiskey and dinosaurs? Are you kidding me? Race you there!

Sip the finest varietals, learn some new cocktail recipes and enjoy fine foods from TGIS Catering. Experts representing brands such as Bulleit, Glenmorangie, Kikori, and Old Forester will be on hand to discuss their favorites. Live music provided by The Aaron Durr Band, and complimentary cigars and shoeshines will be available. How manly is that? You should be growing more hair on your chest already, even if you’re a woman.

Tickets are $75 (all food and cocktails are included) and available for purchase at on the website. Please note all attendees must be 21 years or older. Free parking is available after 7pm in the LACMA lot at Wilshire and Spaulding. Proceeds will go to The United Way, the magazine’s philanthropic partner on this event.
