Radolescents At Cafe Nela

Radolescents at Cafe NELA. All photos by Deb Frazin

Last Friday night I experienced 40 firey minutes of pure punk rock euphoria. Radolescents were at Cafe Nela, and they played the “Blue Album” in it’s entirety. I’d seen footage of the sold-out show they played at the Doll Hut last month, and was so upset that I’d missed it (people were talking about it for a week afterward). It was definitely worth the wait, because this show was phenomenal.

Rikk Agnew has always been my favorite punk rock guitarist, and it was thrilling to hear him play all of those classic Blue Album songs loud and live. His nephew Frank Agnew Jr. is singing with this line-up of original Adolescents members, and his vocals are powerful and perfect. Check out the video I filmed below, and you be the judge. Enjoy!
