One Response to The Punk Rock Museum Celebrates One Year

How awesome it has been to witness the evolution of the Punk Museum here in LA. It truely is a place where all the elements ,definitive of our Culture ,are represented without fail. Within the ancient brick walls of the KGB Studios, is our beloved Punk Museum which first opened it’s painted doors on January 12th, 2012 . This was just one of many dreams brought to life aby ,the one and only Taquila Mockingbird…who is the Alpha and the Omega when she is in her element. The bands that had played throught the year were rockin and the art was mind blowing. Different types of art and photography that range anywhere from $25–$10,000+ are hung on the walls and seen by hundreds of people who are a part of the Punk Rock Culture, all there to show their love and support. There is even a memorial piece for a Punker from Venice, and every exhibit the Museum displays, the Citizens of Venice come and pay their respects while they represent. Books are read by their authors, like gems such as ‘1978: Crashed Memories’ by Todd Gessel , and “An American Demon” by Jack Grisham of TSOL. I am greatful to have art there, and to have seen and heard those I look up to be in place that is by, for and all about our Culture.
