DOGBUNGA? Surfing Pups Will be Hanging Ten Saturday at Loews Coronado Bay

Champion dog surfers will be hanging ten at the Loews Coronado Bay Surf Dog Competition this Saturday, June 22nd, 2013.  The “2013 Loews Surf Dog Competition Unleashed by Petco” is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. at the Imperial Beach Pier located at 2 Elder Ave (at Ocean Ln) Imperial Beach, CA 91932, a few miles down the road from the Loews Coronado Bay.  The event will be next to the pier and will end at 2 p.m.

Each furry competitor will have 10 minutes to catch his or her top two waves, and will be scored on confidence level, length of ride and overall ability to “grip it and rip it.”

For the second consecutive year, the event will benefit the ASPCA® (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). The ASPCA® is the first humane organization established and is a national leader in the areas of anti-cruelty, community outreach and animal health services.
