The earliest occupant of that building at 424 Fair Oaks, I believe, was Heckels, a longtime, popular sports bar. After that came Lasorda’s, and then Carmine’s for almost 20 years. That was followed by The Sow House (as in sow your seeds, and the food will grow) in about 2015; they had two other branches nearby. Then the owners closed the restaurant and reopened as Craft Hill. That one lasted only until sometime in the summer of 2017. Obviously, Twohey’s has them all beat with its 75-year history. Here’s to the next 75. I just wish it were still in Alhambra.

I believe that Twohey’s will open in SoPas in the spring, not fall, of this year. Also, if the restaurant opened in 1943 and moved to Alhambra in 1951, it was not in Pasadena for a decade.
