The Bob Baker Marionettes Take their Show on the Road

Sadly, the Bob Baker Marionettes have vacated their home in Downtown LA. The good news is that they are getting their act together and taking it on the road! December 1, 2018, the Pasadena Playhouse will host a fundraiser for the new bob Baker Marionette Theater and educational institution. The evening starts at 6:30 PM with a VIP dinner reception. At 7 PM the doors open for general admission for drinks, a silent auction and live auction of Bob baker memorabilia, a reception, food, and best of all–a show with OK Go and the Bob Baker Marionettes! GA is $100 and VIP is $200 (It IS a benefit).

The marionettes will be heading to the beach to be a part of the Santa Monica Pier’s first-ever holiday event, “Wonderland on the Water.” For the next three Thursdays, November 29, December 6, and December 13, 2018, there will be two puppet shows a night at 6 PM and 7 PM inside the Carousel Building

It has been more than ten years since the pier put on a holiday celebration. The carousel and carousel park will be decked with boughs of holly through January 6, 2019.  Besides the marionettes, “Wonderland on the Water” will feature art installations, a food festival, arts and crafts, story time, a gift market, and more.
