Jon Spencer & The Hitmakers at The Echo 2.23.19

All Photos: Deb Frazin

Jon Spencer & The Hitmakers (featuring Bob Bert and Sam Coomes) played a sweaty, sizzling-hot set at The Echo last Saturday, and thanks to my pal Terri Wahl, I was able to get into the show. Anyone who knows me knows what a HUGE Jon Spencer fan I am, so you’ll notice I only snapped photos of HIM (because I couldn’t tear my eyes off of him for a second). The band tore into songs like “Trash Can, “This Shit Is Fake”, “You’ve Been Set Up”, “We Got the Overload”, “I’m a Ghost”, “Time Warp”, “Keep On Loving You”, “I Got the Hits”, “NYC 1995”, “Road Runner”, etc. etc. etc. The real highlight of the show was when he came up to me, pressed his sweaty forehead against mine, and drenched me in his sweat.

Now check out the photographs I snapped for you!
