Don’t Miss The Donut Festival at Union Station Today!

Donut Festival? Those are possibly the greatest two words in the English language, and here they are–together! The 2nd Annual DTLA Donut Festival will be making all of our dreams come true on the South Patio of Union Station today, Saturday, June 8, 2019. Running from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. the “Hole Donut Marketplace” will have a dozen vendors slinging everything from custom-made glazed donuts to California Donut’s Froot Loop-topped wonders.

The event will showcase mini donuts from Dazzling Donuts, Primo’s Donuts from the Westside, vegan delicacies from Donatsu, international flavors like matcha and ube from Dot & Dough, organic treats from Fat Uncle Farms, the award-winning Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken, and DK’s Donuts & Bakery from Santa Monica, who will be hosting a special guest–delivery-only Donut Princess. Yes, we were disappointed that the Donut Princess is not a person, but we are consoled by the fact it does mean more donuts. We suggest you make sure to try LA Beat favorites Dream Donut Truck, and Portland transplant Voodoo Doughnut.

In case you get tired of donuts (as if that is even possible), The Rooster Truck will be on hand with breakfast burritos, tacos and sandwiches, and Mobar & Co will offer specialty drinks like honey lavender lattes. The festival will feature baking demonstrations from celebrity baker Jane Soudah, a donut eating contest, donut themed arts + crafts, and a 60-minute yoga class to start working off the carbs from Find Your Center.

Kids 12 and under are free. There will be an entry fee of $5 ($7 at the door). Most Metro lines terminate at Union Station, or you can find parking information and maps here.
