Also, the ACT UP San Francisco Handbook distributed to assist protesters during the Sixth International AIDS Conference in 1990. ACT UP members from many cities including Los Angeles (including moi) were present outside (and many inside) to challenge the U.S. government and pharmaceutical industry’s response to the AIDS crisis.
