Solvej Schou opened the benefit with a energetic set of songs mostly focusing on social justice and women’s empowerment. Her newly released LP “Quiet for Too Long” was recently named LA Weekly’s LP of the week. Solvej was backed up by Chelsea Jean Speer-Guzman (bass), Bryan Bos (drums) and Eric Hasenbein (guitar).
