In a rousing end to the Turn It Up! show, Alice Bag closed with a powerful punk song and invited other performers to join on stage.

Adele Bertei, formerly of The Contortions, The Bloods and other well known legacy punk bands was a guest singer with the Turn It Up house band, which included guitarist Blare Bitch in background.

Solvej Schou opened the benefit with a energetic set of songs mostly focusing on social justice and women's empowerment. Her newly released LP "Quiet for Too Long" was recently named LA Weekly's LP of the week. Solvej was backed up by Chelsea Jean Speer-Guzman (bass), Bryan Bos (drums) and Eric Hasenbein (guitar).
