You can now try the scrumptious cupcakes heretofore only seen on Cupcake Wars and popping up at select foodie events. Annette Starbucks’ signature pumpkin pancake cupcakes were served at the grand opening of Goodie Girls yesterday, shimmering with edible sparkles. She slipped us a few of her Cake Ups push up pops, which were a clear winner for one of us, but the other suffered the fate of a child losing the top scoop of their ice cream cone. Push the pop gently; do not get too overeager.
Because of the rain, the event was a little tighter than expected, even with the erection of an emergency tent. DJ Arthur Galestian was spinning, there was a photo booth where you could have your photo printed on lollipops. Season 3 Cupcake Wars winner Annette Starbuck had her hands full greeting guests amidst a throng of well-wishers and a gaggle of Disney stars. Let me just say that I had not fully grasp the meaning and the power of “tweens” before this event.
The store is accepting pre-orders for Thanksgiving, and if yesterday was any indication, you had better act quick. We anticipate lines out the door for weeks to come.
