So last week I ate at this restaurant called Eatalian. They had the most addicting thin crusted pizza I have ever had at a restaurant. Being a bit of a foreigner myself, thin crusted pizza was nothing new to me BUT I was surprised that it wasn’t out of MY kitchen or my mamma’s. So I decided to spice up an old favorite and share it with you guys. I grew up on this stuff and if you’ve read my bio you will understand that giving you the full fledged fat version of this would do harm. So I put my taste juices to work and have come up with a healthy alternative. Now you can get creative with this any way you like but here is what appeases my inner fat kid. What will you need?
low carb whole wheat flat bread
1oz goat cheese
1/4 cup 2 percent mozzarella
few leaves fresh basil
4 table spoons of favorite spaghetti sauce (or any tomato based sauce)
1 roma tomato (thinly sliced)
olives- I used 2 (thinly sliced)
I layer in this order but it’s not rocket science! Sauce, goat cheese, olives, tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and basil. Pop this in the oven for a few minutes on broil , just until the sides start to brown. I like mine extra crispy so I let mine go another minute or two more. These are great for quick lunch or when you want something that’s fattening and cheesy but you don’t want to feel cottage cheesy afterwards. This is under 300 calories. It may be a little high in the fat department (6 grams alone just from the goat cheese! eek!) but I only promised healthier than regular pizza here! ENJOY!
