This September the Wine Institute celebrates its 7th annual California Wine Month, “a campaign coordinated by and its more than 1,000 California wineries and affiliated businesses.”
One of our favorite restaurants, Napa Valley Grille in Westwood Village is going all out with Free wine tastings at Westwood LIVE (Sept. 15) A new Chef’s Table monthly dinner series (Sept. 23) Crush & Harvest Tasting with Napa Valley’s Clos du Val Winery (Sept. 28) A Wine “Tag” Sale (Month-long) and a seasonal Apple Jack Sangria. Corkbar, Downtown Los Angeles’ wine bar features a series of rotating Golden State-inspired flights and pairing specials with menu favorites. A new flight will be featured each week. The Corkbar Burger will be paired with the Frank Family Vineyards 2008 Zinfandel and Corkbar’s Mac & Cheese, made with three cheeses and roasted pasilla chilies, will be paired with the Stag’s Leap 2009 Viognier
gLAnce Wine Bar at JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE is hosting a “Meet the Winemaker” series every Wednesday from 5:30-7 p.m. Guest California winemakers will host wine tastings. Guests are invited to enjoy complimentary tastings along with selection of light bites prepared by the hotel’s chef.
