Tam O’Shanter Counts Down the Decades

Starting this month, The Tam O’Shanter will be celebrating their 90th birthday by presenting meals from menus and decades past. This month the Lawry’s-affiliated restaurant is presenting dishes from their 1960s menus, including:

Cock o’ the North $25.00

Half a bird, butter-fried for the finest flavor and served with creamed wild mushrooms and mashed taters

The Mr. McTavish $16.00

Hamburger, served open-face, with an abundance of Scotch rarebit sauce, bacon with a side of Ol’ King Cole Slaw and French fries

Upcoming specialty menus:

March: the 1950s

April: the 1940s

May: the 1930s

June: the 1920s

Unfortunately, they aren’t also at retro prices. We can’t wait to see what they were serving in the 1920s!
