SuperMoon Saturday

Attention skywatchers, werewolves, and those looking for signs of the apocolypse. This Saturday night at 11:35pm the moon will be at perigee, which means it will be as close to the earth as it gets during its revolution. Coupled with the fact it will be a full moon, it is going to be enormous, or what some people call SuperMoon. Scientists call it “perigee syzergy” which sounds even cooler.

There are no major disasters associated with this phenomenon, but tides will be high. The only bummer is that there will also be a meteor shower Saturday night, and the bright light from the moon will make meteor watching difficult.
