Le Bon Garçon is an artisanal caramel company based in Los Angeles. It was founded in 2010 by Justin Chao, a graduate of the prestigious École Gastronomique Bellouet Conseil in Paris. We are fans of their salted caramels, which is something you probably already know about us. For the end of summer, they are offering a limited-edition flavor, “ROSÉ” through September 15th. Justin Chao explains, “My inspiration for Rosé is Pierre Hermé’s Ispahan macaroon, made with rose petal cream, whole raspberries, and lychee, which was my favorite summer treat in Paris.” Being a fan of florals, I had to try it. The primary flavor is raspberries, then a hint of roses lingers on the tongue. The caramels are available exclusively at Le Bon Garcon.
“In addition to Rosé, Le Bon Garçon has three signature caramel flavors: Mango-Passion Fruit, Macadamia Nut, and Salted. The caramels can be purchased in a single flavor or an assortment, and they are available in 2 oz. ($6), 4 oz. ($15), and 8 oz. ($27). Le Bon Garçon handcrafted caramels and gift boxes are sold online.”
