“Peek into past, present, and future relationship of humanity to the ocean
depicted in music, dance, and special effects”
Friday, October 5 through Sunday, October 7 at 7 p.m., The Aquarium of the Pacific and the Long Beach Ballet will present their first joint production, Guardians, a two-hour ocean-themed ballet.
Taking place in the great hall, the audience will be surrounded by marine life throughout the ballet. “…embark on a voyage to witness humans’ changing relationship with the ocean. Journey through time starting with the chaotic formation of the universe and Earth through the emergence of man, the domination and degradation of the Earth and ocean by the growing human population and its over-consumption, followed by a reawakening of the human spirit, which leads to a strong environmental and ocean ethic.”
Guardians is directed by David Wilcox and choreographed by Johnny Zhong. arts. COST: Section 1: $70 per person (includes admission to post-performance reception with cast)
