The third annual L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade is scheduled to take place fromnoon til 4pm Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Culver Studios. Hosts Chef Suzanne Goin, Caroline Styne (Lucques, AOC, Tavern) and David Lentz, (The Hungry Cat), are proud to announce the return of Honorary Hosts Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka and Emcee Jimmy Kimmel. Michelle Branch will be performing.
Enthusiasm for the event is contagious as everyone carries on the spirit of of Alexandria “Alex” Scott, a little girl with cancer whose front yard lemonade stand grew into a foundation that raised over a million dollars before she passed away. The foundation continues hosting lemonade stands large and small, in her name. LA Loves Alex ‘s Lemonade is definitely on the larger end of the spectrum, with world-renowned chefs from all over the nation pitching in to raise money for children’s cancer research.
Some of our favorite chefs are participating, including Giada De Laurentiis, Michael Cimarusti, Jonathan Waxman, Nancy Silverton, Mary Sue Milliken, Neal Fraser, Michael Voltaggio, Jon Dotolo and Vinny Shook. Guests will “experience the cocktail artistry of major mixologists,” including Eric Alperin (The Varnish), Tim Staehling (The Hungry Cat), Greg Lindgren (Rye on the Road), Chris Ojeda (Soho House), and Steve Widly (Vetri).
It is a very kid-friendly event, and there will be children’s activities as well as silent and live auctions. Stars from major television shows such as Criminal Minds and Parks & Recreation will also being attendance.
