A Marimekko Flagship store opened on November 15, 2012! The new store is located at the corner of Canon and Brighton Way in Beverly Hills. Marimekko is a Finnish company that started out as a dress company. Even the name, Marimekko, is a homage to that history: ‘Mari’ is an anagram of the first name of the company’s now deceased founder, Armi Ratia, coupled with ‘mekko’ which means ‘dress’ in Finnish. Marimekko fabric and some housewares have been available at the Grove’s Crate & Barrell, but now there is this second shopping option.
