Since 1963, El Cid has been treating Los Angelenos to Spanish-inspired food, music and flamenco dance. El Cid is located in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake Sunset Junction neighborhood, and is celebrating 50 years of flamenco with a powerful two-day Flamenco Festival directed by Ethan Margolis of Arte Y Pureza Flamenco Company. This cultural experience offers two days of flamenco activities, master classes (accompaniment class for guitarists – guitarists should bring their guitars – and flamenco arm and hand movement class), art displays, and three full flamenco-themed performances each day. Food and Beverages are available for purchase including home-cooked authentic Andalusian paella, Tinto de Veranos, sangria and an extensive menu of El Cid tapas.
Confirmed flamenco performances include Yaelisa of Caminos Flamencos, Fanny Ara, Timo Nuñez, Mizuho Sato, Antonio Triana, Jason McGuire, Adam Del Monte, Ethan Margolis, Gabriel Osuna, José Cortes, Antonio de Jerez, Briseyda Zarate, the Sir Sultry Quintet, and more.
Tickets will be sold as two-day passes only; general admission seat is $100 per person; VIP Table for four is $560; VIP Booth for five is $700. Seating is limited as the festival is expected to sell out. VIP Booth and Table packages are also available. Tickets are available through http://elcidfestival.brownpapertickets.com/.
