Renowned science fiction author Harlan Ellison, who penned such classics as “A Boy and His Dog” as well as countless television series, will be signing copies of his new books at La Luz de Jesus tomorrow afternoon. But not before a little sprucing up. Sweeney Todd’s Sween Lahman will be giving Ellison a custom cut known as the “Cheech Beldone” and you are welcome to come and watch.
The fun starts at 2pm at Sweeney Todd’s Barber Shop at 4639 Hollywood Blvd. The party will continue to the neighboring La Luz where Ellison will sign “Pulling a Train” and “Getting in the Wind” plus limited edition 11 x 17 posters of the book covers.
Pulp producers Kicks Books have edited Ellison’s hard-to-find men’s magazine articles known collectively as “Sex Gang” together with additional writings from the 50s and 60s to form two tomes, “Pulling a Train and “Getting in the Wind.” Get your copies now and take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
