LA Taco Festival Saturday!

tacoThe taco just might be the perfect food. A soft tortilla is an unassuming yet delicious vehicle to get all kinds of foodstuffs in your mouth, unlike bread, which is always trying to hog the spotlight. That is the reason chefs and food trucks have started using tortillas to hold all manner of braises, meats, pickles, and veggies. Of course, they will never match the daring of the OG taco makers — outdo the grasshopper taco, I dare you!

If you are ready for some serious taco action, head down to Mariachi Plaza in Boyle Heights this Saturday, August 17, 2013 for the Los Angeles Taco Festival. Proceeds help support homeless youth.

Mariachi Plaza 1st St. & Boyle Ave.
