Act fast for standby tickets to Wicked Lit, the immersive theatrical production of classic horror tales that runs until November 2nd at the Mountain View Cemetery in Altadena. The popular event, which has the audience on its feet and moving to catch all the action, celebrates its fifth anniversary this year with performances of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The New Catacomb and H.P. Lovecraft’s The Lurking Fear. Also included is a “macabre masquerade” entitled “The Masque of the Red Death Experience,” inspired by the Edgar Allan Poe story, in which the audience will experience elements of several Poe tales.

Wicked Lit began in 2009 at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills and has been entertaining sold-out audiences at the Mountain View Cemetery since 2010. (But I have sadly just discovered it!) Performances have included the works of Robert Louis Stevenson, Mark Twain, Charles Dickens and M.R. James, among others.
