Upcoming ‘Champagne on Main’ Combines Street Fair with Wine Tasting in Ventura

CHAMPAGNE ON MAIN POSTERJust a short ride up the coast, Downtown Ventura is a picturesque area with lots of period buildings and homes. Main Street itself is an ideal spot for a pleasant walk any day of the year, with dozens of antique and thrift shops, restaurants and bars, galleries and unique stores to peruse. If there is one day though that is an ideal time to do the walk, however, it is Saturday, April 18, when Champagne on Main brings both a street fair and wine, beer and champagne tasting event to several blocks of this historic street. The event starts at 10am with a free street fair that includes kids events, live music, arts and crafts, food and lots of different vendors with a cornucopia of items to purchase.

The Champagne on Main Wine Walk begins at 1:30pm. Tickets are available for this event, either general admission which includes a tasting cup, Wine Walk wristband and a map of the wine stops which include over 40 wineries and breweries, or a VIP wristband which adds a VIP Chocolate Lounge with desserts, chocolates and special live entertainment. Champagne and sparkling wines will be highlighted as part of both tasting packages. Special packages including a stay at either the Ventura Marriott or the Clocktower Inn will be available also.

Some of the dining a drinking establishments that will be tasting locations include Shanghai Beer Garden, Winchesters Grill and Saloon, Star Lounge and Cafe Fiore. Combined with the street fair, this should make a fun day to visit one of the most scenic towns on the California coast, while tasting from such Central Coast wineries such as Ca’Rosa Sparkling wines, Burt’s Honey Wheat Beer and Blossom Hill Wines.
