On the last night of April 2015, the Art Community celebrated with LA Weekly’s annual Artopia event. Shana Nys Dambrot curated this event, which included eats and free drinks amongst art installations and performances at The Container Yard in DTLA. Victor Wilde of Bohiemian Society mixed it up with paint, fabric and nude bodies, while KCR-FM DJ Jeremy Sole set the joint on fire with his DJing skills and his musical mixing prowess. Debi Cable kept it freaky with her black light art. In the same room Artois provided their delicious beer free with in a Stella Artois goblet that patrons were allowed to take home if they cared to. Mikael B. Design had live painting. There were opportunities to eat specialty food and treats from food trucks. There were unique art items in a room adjacent to the courtyard where people could pursue and shop. The sultry evening mixed mediums and people to great effect to open the door to summer.
