This Sunday join the revelers in Highland Park as they make their way along North Figueroa Street. The parade starts at 1pm on at Avenue 6, then proceeds south to Ave. 50/Sycamore Grove. You can expect the usual marching bands, drill teams, stilt walkers, dancers, musicians, floats, and equestrian units, plus Santa Claus on a fire truck.

If you are not content to watch, and want to BE the parade, a number of neighborhood groups welcome friendly participants. They will be gathering around Avenue 50 beforehand between 11am and 12 noon to prepare for the parade. Wear dark blue and gold, and HPTEGSCBMBLA might let you join them. Tell Mona that Elise sent you.

Take the Gold Line to the Highland Park station. The city’s 2nd oldest Annual Christmas Parade is produced by Highland Park Chamber of Commerce
