Hollywood is in the thrall of award season and engulfed in a blur of the process of honoring so many talented and gifted artist for their hard work. ACTRA will be hosting its own award event. ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists) is the national union of professional performers working in the English-language recorded media in Canada. ACTRA represents Canada’s highly-acclaimed professional performing community. This year 2016 ACTRA Awards honoring Neve Campbell for her years of devotion to acting and the arts with the National Award of Excellence will be held at The Beverly Hilton on January 31st. This will be Neve’s night to celebrate and be recognized for her work and her career achievements with her Canadian peers.
Neve debuted in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera in 1988. Neve is a critically acclaimed Golden Globe-winning television series Party of Five and the Scream movies. Her role in Wild Things had her received a MTV Movie Award nomination. Her recent work includes the film Walter, also starring Virginia Madsen and William H. Macy and she has a guest-starring role in WGN’s Manhattan. Neve has joined the cast of the Netflix series, House of Cards as her work continues to expand.
For this night’s festivities Neve will have the honor of joining these other ACTRA Award recipients: Leslie Nielsen, Lloyd Bochner, Tonya Lee Williams, Kiefer Sutherland, Sandra Oh, Eugene Levy, Bruce Greenwood and Jason Priestley.
