Angel City Brewery Phonograph opening

Steal Music Buy Art presented “Phonography” Thursday night at Angel City Brewery Downtown. Music was provided for the opening night by Dano Forte’s Juke Joint Freak Show and Matt Caughthran. Prints of mobile phone photographs, or “phonographs” went on exhibit from artists like Bob Gruen, Chris Shary, Clem Burke, Dave Naz, Ed Colver, Dave Markey, Matt Grisham, Stephen Perkins, and dozens more.

The “phonographs” will be up for two weeks. They are all on sale to benefit Surf Therapy’s A Walk on Water, “which provides water therapy through guided surf instruction to specials needs children.  Surfing is used as a tool to gain self confidence skills and promote the therapeutic benefits of the sport’s positive effects.” Angel City Brewery will also donate to the charity for every beer sold.
