Burger Records Celebrates 5 Years with 5 Days of Rocking Out.

burger3_0This week Burger Records is celebrating their five year anniversary with a 5-day music festival at the Observatory in Orange County.

Starting Monday at 8pm, the music kicks off with headliners Shannon & the Clams. Additional evening shows are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday nights. On Saturday the 12th, and Sunday the 13th, the shows start at 2pm. Other notable bands on the week’s bill are Angry Samoans, Rick Agnew, Thee Oh Sees, Reach Kelly Pop, and the Tijuana Panthers.

Founded by Sean Borman and Lee Noise Rickard of the power pop band Thee Makeout Party in 2007, the record company started out recording cassette tapes for a friend’s band and grew from there. Noticing a dearth of record companies in Orange County, Borman opened up a retail record store in Fullerton with Brian Flores in 2009. And today they are still producing most of their catalog on cassette.

Tickets for the entire festival are $70. Tickets for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are $8 each night, with weekend tickets priced at $40 each day. Get your tickets here.
