Monsterpalooza Takes Over the Pasadena Convention Center this Weekend!

Photo by cydog66 via flickr monsterpaloozaIt’s not too late to get your Monsterpalooza tickets for this weekend! There are hundreds of vendors for monster movie make-up, monster sound effects, and pretty much anything monster-related. Enjoy special screenings of horror and fantasy movies, panels on subjects like The Lost Boys, The Hollywood Horror Museum, foam fabrication, and the Wolfman. On Saturday night, you are invited to the official afterparty with live music and a costume contest.

But what’s got us really excited is the fantastic roster of guests! Among the many stars and special effects masters and monster makers are Jake Busey (Who scared the crap out of us in The Frighteners), David Naughton (Star of American Werewolf in London, arguably one of the best werewolf movies ever made), Linda Blair (that’s right! Linda f-ing Blair), Robert Hayes (Who makes the list for Cat’s Eye, but we all remember him from Airplane), C. Thomas Howell (“Stay gold, Ponyboy”), Lance Henrickson (Who has been killed by  a terminator, a predator, and the alien queen, Kimmy Robinson (The ditzy receptionist on Twin Peaks), Adrienne Barbeau (Where has she been?) Clint Howard (Rock n Roll High School!), Britt Eckland (seriously?). Then there is Haruo Nakajima, Shinichi Wakasa and Keizo Murasi (Who all worked on Godzilla and Mothra and their many incarnations). I could go on, but I’m surprised you read this far. Check out the guest list (all tentative).

April 22- 24 at The Pasadena Convention Center. Tickets for Monsterpalooza are only $30 a day, or $70 for all three days.Kids under 10 years old get in free, Buy yours tickets now!
