At Pier del Sol a week from Sunday, families can play carnival games, feast on a VIP brunch prepared by over 37 of the best restaurants in LA and enjoy unlimited access to rides.
Presented by Westfield Inc., the event includes live music, arts & crafts, cupcake decorating, and more. Pier del Sol takes place between 10am and 2pm in Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier.
Chefs serving brunch plates include Michael Cimarusti of Providence, Brooke Williamson of The Tripel, Brendan Collins of Birch, Gerardo Ochoa of El Cholo, Stephanie Franz of The Strand House, plus Dandy Dan’s Homemade Ice Cream, Sprinkles Cup Cakes, and of course, Pink’s Hot Dogs. This year, Chef Josia Citrin of Melisse, who has been with Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC) and Pier del Sol for 17 years, will be the Honorary Chef.
Since 1997, Pier del Sol has raised nearly $8 million, benefiting and changing the lives of more than 26,000 Special Olympics Southern California athletes. “Pier del Sol is a family, fun day for the community, our Special Olympics athletes, and supporters of our movement,” said Bill Shumard, President and CEO of Special Olympics Southern California. “This year’s theme, It’s been a ROARING 20 years, invites the public to swing by and join us in celebrating acceptance and inclusion for all.”
VIP tickets are $175 each, or $650, for five and include access to the VIP Brunch, unlimited rides, and 12 game tickets. Child VIP tickets are $60 (ages 5 – 12 and are only available at the door).
