Face Time with Face to Face: Gallery and Book Signing to Celebrate 25 Years of So Cal Punk

Face to Face: 25 Years of So Cal Punk,” an art exhibit, book signing and reception, will be at The Last Bookstore on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, from 7 – 9 pm.

The collaborative event by Sugar Press and book publisher Melodic Virtue will have Face to Face band members Trevor Keith and Scott Shiflett, and the book’s author Aaron Tanner (Melodic Virtue) available to sign books at the event.

The art exhibit will feature works created for Face to Face over the last 25 years, including illustrations and photography by Kevin Baldes (Lit), Elena Bundy, Kalynn Campbell, Jim Evans (TAZ), Jeffrey Everett, Shepard Fairey, Todd Fixler, Hooter Hicks, Enemy Ink, Corey Miller (LA Ink), Billy Beans Skelly, Stephen Stickler, Aaron Tanner, Andrew Vastagh, and Lou Xray.

Many of the featured artists and photographers will be on hand to sign art prints of their work featured in the book as well, and attendees are encouraged to RSVP on the event Facebook page.

The limited–edition coffee table book “Face To Face: 25 Years of SoCal Punk, The Visual History” published by Melodic Virtue , released in early December 2017, is now currently available at The Last Bookstore where a limited number of books will be available for purchase. Prints of the artwork seen in this post will be on exhibit, and there will be a limited print of the “25 Punk” image for sale.

The “Face to Face: 25 Years of SoCal Punk” art exhibit hosted by Sugar Press is in The Spring Arts Collective, on the second floor of The Last Bookstore, and will run from Jan. 10-27, 2018.

The Spring Arts Collective gallery hours are Monday – Thursday from 10am – 10pm, Friday and Saturday. The Last Bookstore is at 453 S. Spring St., in Downtown, LA. or call the store at (213) 488-0599 for more details.
