Beat Recommends: Reverend Beat-Man and Sister Nicole Izobel Garcia

Friday night at the Hi-Hat, we highly recommend checking out the “185% Trash Blues” of Reverend Beat-Man and Sister Nicole Izobel Garcia. The Reverend is a popular one-man band in his native Switzerland, where he also runs the prolific Voodoo Rhythm Records (120 plus releases to date, mostly garage-related) and led Swiss bands the Monsters and Die Zorros. Lately he’s been joining forces with fellow multi-instrumentalist and LA resident Garcia, and the pair will release their first collaborative LP to coincide with the tour’s opening night. So bring cash and buy two copies – you’ll surely want one to keep and one to trade later.

Reverend Beat-Man and Sister Nicole Izobel Garcia, with Thee Cormans, at the Hi-Hat, 5043 York Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90042. Friday April 6. Tickets available at Ticketfly.
