last night, spot had a big show of his pictures at cornelius projects in my pedro town and here he is next to what he told me was his favorite shot of the show and in fact the only picture he’s taken that he’s put on the bulkhead of his pad in sheboygan, wi (that’s where he lives now): man w/a mustache and a girl on roller skate on “the strand” in hermosa beach sometime in the 70s. I love this cat and he was very important for the minutemen and all kinds of cats in the earlier days of the movement. bob lee, nick reinhart and myself celebrated him down the street w/a blowout doing stooges right after at harold’s place. respect. one trippy thing is right across the street from this pad, in the alley at 519 w 19th street is where d boon and me started the minutemen, joe baiza lived right below!
